WOW!!! What an incredible success at our June 13 Flea Market & Craft Fair!

To all the vendors and all the wonderful shoppers who came out — a HUGE THANK YOU! Your enthusiasm, support, and joyful spirit made this event one of our best.

This year brought an unexpected challenge. As our Flea Market/Craft Fair team worked to move the event from May to June to avoid last year’s extreme wet conditions, we were informed that Guptil’s Ice Cream would not be able to provide parking space due to business needs. This meant our team had to rethink and redesign the vendor space layout to accommodate parking for the shoppers.

They worked hard to adjust the setup, shifting consumer parking to areas previously used for vendors and reorganizing vendor spaces — including the graveside area also used in past events for vendors. While this created some congestion during vendor check‑in, we deeply appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we navigated the new layout together.

Despite the challenges, the day was a tremendous success:

Over 100 vendors joined us — right on par with our events
Shoppers came in droves, filling the grounds with energy and excitement
Our concession stand sold out of both American and ethnic foods

This was truly a community effort, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, cooked, shopped, or simply spread the word.

We have opportunities in several areas, including the concession stand, vendor check‑in and placement, parking attendants, organizing, welcoming guests, and clean‑up. No matter your strengths, there’s a place for you.

On Sunday evening March 22nd for St. John of the Ladder, our church participated in the Lenten mission services of the capital district. Teva Regule, PhD gave an impactful homily on St. John. Over 70 guests came, prayed and enjoyed a Lenten meal and socialized.

GREAT NEWS
As shared on our church’s website and Flea Market page, our May Flea Market was canceled. We’re excited to now share some GREAT NEWS!

The event has been rescheduled for June 13, and we are currently finalizing the details. Complete vendor information and registration instructions will be sent within the next 2–3 weeks.

We wanted to provide the new date as soon as possible so you can plan accordingly. Please note that vendor space will be limited, and registration details will be shared soon. We also encourage you to
follow and check our church website page for updates and announcements as they become available.

On Saturday October 25th a group from the church made our way up to Argyle to present $1000 to Lucky Puppy (a shelter for dogs). We gave half of our winnings from our 50/50 raffle to a deserving non-profit organization. All of creation is from God and it requires us to help animals as well as people.

On Sunday October 26th a member of the EMS team from the Albany county sheriffs dept., Patrick Kervin trained the parish on NARCAN usage and hands on CPR. Each one of us had a chance to practice both of these life saving tools on dummies.
