Nativity-Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church The Nativity of the Virgin Mary (“Panagia”) Greek Orthodox Church is located at 811-819 Jerusalem Rd. The church, erected by his parents Colonel and Mrs.

The original structure was The Pope Memorial Church and was built in 1900 as a memorial to Charles Linder Pope (November 15, 1881 - April 21, 1898). He died as a result of drowning in the seventeenth year of his life. Albert A. Holy Tuesday Evening: April 7th Matins 6:00 pm, Service of the Bridegroom and Hymn of Kassiani (in anticipation of Holy Wednesday).

Holy Wednesday Evening: April 8th, 6:00 pm. Sacrament of Holy Unction
Holy Thursday Morning: April 9th, 9:30 am Vesperal Divine Liturgy of St Basil the Great. (Commemoration of the Last Supper (Mystical Supper) and 
Consecration of the 
“Amnos” (the Lamb)


Holy Thursday Evening: April 9th, 6:00 pm, (Orthros of Holy Friday, Service of the Passion of Christ, and The Reading of the 12 Gospels).

Holy Friday, April 10th, Great Vespers: Service of the Un-nailing (Apokathelosis)
2:45 pm Myrrh-bearing women (of any age) are needed to assist 
Father Constantine at the foot of the Cross.

Holy Friday Evening: April 10th Orthros of Holy Saturday at 6:00 pm Lamentations Service Procession of the Epitaphion with Altar Servers and Myrrh-Bearing Women.

Holy Saturday Morning: April 11th Vesperal Liturgy of St Basil the Great Celebration of the Proti-Anastasi, (the first Anastasi service) 9:30 am.

Holy Saturday Evening: April 11th Paschal Vigil of the Resurrection 10:45 PM-11:45 pm followed by the Archepiscopal Encyclicals.

Easter Sunday: April 12th Anastasi Service: Orthros/Divine Liturgy: 
at 12:00 AM -1:30 AM

Easter Sunday: Agape Service April 12th 11:00 am -12:00 PM

Hello all,

As a reminder, we are hosting a memorial service in remembrance of Cohasset resident, Ana Walshe, tomorrow, January 24th beginning promptly at 11:00am.

His Grace Bishop Anthony Vrame, along with Fr. Constantine Cambus of Nativity-Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of Cohasset, and Fr. Aleksandar Vlajkovic of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of Cambridge will lead an Orthodox Memorial Service in remembrance of Ana.

You can also view the live stream on our website, www.NAVM.org.

Let us come together to offer our prayers for the repose of the soul of our sister in Christ, Ana.

A memorial reception will follow in the Community Center.

Ana Walshe Memorial Service – Saturday, January 24 | 11:00 AM

Fr. Aleksandar Vlajkovic of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, together with Fr. Constantine Cambus, will lead a memorial service in remembrance of Cohasset resident Ana Walshe, at 11:00am on Saturday, January 24, at Nativity Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Cohasset.

This Orthodox prayer service will be held for the repose of the soul of our sister in Christ, Ana, and in remembrance along with the Cohasset community, offering a space for reflection, comfort, and healing.

A coffee hour will follow in the Community Center.
