As we walk in this blessing, we are to shine like a bright light bringing light in the darkness and giving light for others to see our hope and purpose in Christ. The Beatitudes (the blessings) are the opening introduction of Jesus’ teachings for His Sermon on the Mount. These teachings are a foundational ethic for humanity. If we as a society or a church could walk out these principles, our world and culture would be a drastically different kinder and safer place. The blessings of God would be all around us.
