What if the next church God uses to reach a community starts in a building that’s already sheltering people in need?

Clark and Lola Crawford are planting Redemption City in Sunnyside, Texas, and they’re asking us to pray for a unique opportunity.

An abandoned church building in their community is currently being used as shelter by two people experiencing homelessness.

Their prayer isn’t simply for a building.

It’s for people.

💙 Pray that these two individuals will find stable jobs, safe housing, and experience the transforming hope of Jesus.

💙 Pray that God will provide wisdom and resources as Clark and Lola seek to care for them with compassion.

💙 Pray that, if it’s God’s will, He would open the door for Redemption City to use this building as a place where people can gather, worship, and hear the gospel.

💙 Pray that God will provide the right meeting space so the church can continue growing and reaching Sunnyside with the hope of Christ.

What a picture of the gospel—that a place once used for worship could once again become a place of hope, healing, and new life.

Hello, this is pastor chuck here at Central Baptist and I wanted to thank the person or persons that mowed the church yard. A big "God bless you". That behavior is a true sign of the love of Christ being in their hearts.

As the deadly Ebola virus continues to spread across the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other parts of Central Africa, countless families are living in fear and danger.

Please join us in prayer for all those impacted by this outbreak. Ask God to protect the vulnerable and stop the spread of this violent disease.

Prayer is powerful. We serve a God who hears us when we cry out to Him.
