In January, we started the Gathering Table, where we meet once a month at a coffee shop and ask one another, “How is it with your soul?”like true Wesleyans.
I believe our generation also needs spaces similar to the Methodist societies and classes of the 1700s, where we are intentional about asking how we are growing in the likeness of Christ, but with a touch of fun and creativity.
Yesterday we spent time together making flower bouquets, worshiping, receiving a powerful message from Rev. Alice Purvis praying for one another, and enjoying fellowship over light snacks. We left with our hearts full.
Please save the date for our next gathering in June, when we will host a book exchange.

I want to take a moment to say thank you to Ms. Lori for listening to my idea and bringing it to life, to Rev. Alice Purvis for delivering a much-needed sermon, to Pastor Breanne, who came on Friday and helped with some of the setup, and to our AA, Ms. Lois for working faithfully behind the scenes. Thank you also to everyone who showed up because without you we could not have this gathering. We appreciate you all very much.

More than 2,000 people of faith gathered on Capitol Hill to worship, sing and march to bring attention to the plight of immigrants in the United States. We are excited to invite you to a special women’s gathering on March 7th at 10:00 AM. Our guest speaker will be our new District Superintendent (beginning July 1), Rev. Alice Purvis.

🌷 Please bring a vase and several fresh flowers to share so that each woman can create her own bouquet to take home. (You can easily pick some up at Walmart) You do not need to be Methodist or a member of our church to come . Please RSVP by March 5 to this post, Trinity United Methodist Churh at 620-251-3735 or to Lori at 620-515-0286. Please leave your name, phone number and include how many will be attending. We will have a short message and snacks and lots of beautiful flowers .
