This past Saturday, the team from Life Event Center at Cocoa Memorial Park had the privilege of attending a Veterans Coalition meeting, and we left inspired by the dedication and passion of so many individuals committed to serving those who have served our nation.
A special highlight of the event was the presentation by the Veterans Fire Watch, who awarded Brevard Veterans Coalition President Rodney Green and Secretary Rosalind Riddick with Certificates of Qualification, authorizing them to teach Veterans Fire Watch's life-saving training on recognizing the warning signs of veteran su***de and helping prevent it within our community.
Rodney also delivered a powerful and informative presentation on PTSD, sharing practical coping strategies and encouraging veterans to take advantage of available VA resources and benefits designed to provide support and hope.
We were also honored to meet Daffodil Bailey, founder of 2nd Mission Give Back. Daffodil shared the mission of her organization, which provides care bags and essential items to homeless veterans, bringing awareness to the challenges many veterans face and the meaningful ways our community can make a difference.
At Life Event Center at Cocoa Memorial Park, we are honored to support organizations and individuals who advocate for veterans and their families. We were proud to be present as a resource for veterans burial benefits and to connect with those working tirelessly to improve the lives of veterans throughout Brevard County.
Thank you to everyone who attended, shared their experiences, and continues to answer the call to serve. Together, we can ensure that no veteran feels alone and that every veteran receives the respect, support, and care they have earned.
🇺🇸 We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside our veteran community and those who champion their well-being every day.
