✝️ FAITH SERIES
MAKING TIME FOR GOD
We often say, “I just don't have enough time.”
Our days fill quickly.
There are appointments to keep, meals to prepare, errands to run, work to finish, people who need us, homes to care for—and sometimes we reach the end of the day wondering where all those hours went.
But our Christian faith asks us to consider something deeper:
What if time isn't simply something we have?
What if time is something God has given us?
Throughout Scripture, God's people are called to make time for Him—to worship, to pray, to hear His Word, to rest, and to serve one another.
Jesus Himself withdrew from the crowds to pray.
He made time for children.
He stopped for the sick.
He ate with people others ignored.
He listened.
He taught.
He worshiped.
And He gave His time to people who needed Him.
⏰ STEWARDSHIP — THE GIFT OF TIME
This month at St. Patrick's, we are exploring Christian Stewardship.
We often associate stewardship with money, but stewardship is much larger than that.
God has entrusted us with our time, talents, opportunities, relationships, resources, and faith.
This week we begin with TIME.
Making time for God doesn't necessarily mean finding another hour in an already busy day.
It may begin with five quiet minutes of prayer.
Reading a few verses of Scripture.
Coming to worship.
Calling someone who is lonely.
Helping with a parish activity.
Praying for someone when their name comes to mind.
Sitting with a family member who needs to talk.
Or simply stopping long enough to say:
“Thank You, Lord, for this day.”
Christian stewardship isn't measured by how busy we are.
It begins by recognizing that the time we have is a gift.
So perhaps our question for this week isn't:
“Do I have enough time?”
Instead, we might ask:
“Lord, how would You have me use the time You have given me?”
✝️ TIME • TALENTS • SERVICE • FAITH
Everything we have is a gift from God. Stewardship is what we do with it.
