Today as we celebrate the gift of the Body and Blood of Christ which nourishes our souls, let us pray for those who are hungry right here in our community, and around the world. By supporting the St. Vincent de Paul Conference at Church of Our Saviour, you help feed our neighbors in need right here in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral. SVDP operates a food pantry stocked with donated items, and last year we distributed food to those in need 3,260 times. Our pantry is busier than ever these days! There’s no need to wait for a food drive. Please bring non-perishable food items to the church and place them in the basket in the vestibule or beside the altar.

As we celebrate the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity, we are reminded of how deeply God loves and cares for us each day. By supporting the St. Vincent de Paul Conference at Church of Our Saviour, you help share that love with neighbors in need in our community. This month, our SVDP team assisted an elderly neighbor who fell behind on rent after becoming the victim of internet fraud and theft. She lives with severe arthritis and relies on disability income, which normally covers her expenses. Because of the theft, she was at risk of eviction, but her income is enough to support her moving forward. Please consider donating to St. Vincent de Paul of Our Saviour to help us help those in need. Checks or cash donations can be dropped in the "Poor Box" located in the church vestibule, or our online giving portal can be found at

In today’s Pentecost Sunday Gospel reading, Jesus says to his disciples: “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” As Christians, Jesus sends each of us to continue his work on earth. By supporting St. the Vincent de Paul Our Saviour Church Conference, you answer this call by serving the needs of the poor right here in our local area. Recently, SVDP helped an elderly neighbor in need with advanced Parkinson's disease and very limited funds, as her income barely covers what she needs for bare necessities. This lady lives in a mobile home with a failing window air conditioning unit, and is always shaking violently, as her condition is aggravated by the heat. She does not have a car, and asked for help getting to Home Depot to obtain a new window unit. Our SVDP team purchased the unit for her, then delivered it so she can live in relative comfort. The financial support of our donors makes outreach like this possible.

We will host a fundraising Run/Walk event in September 2026 to diversify and increase our funding and allow us to bring Christ’s love and compassion to more of our neighbors in need. This weekend as we celebrate the feast of the Ascension, we are reminded that Christ’s charitable work on earth continues through his disciples…and now through each of us. By supporting our St. Vincent de Paul Conference, you continue the work of Jesus by caring for the neighbors in need in our community. Recently, SVDP helped a local single mother escaping domestic violence with her very young daughter. This young woman is working two jobs and sleeping on her brother’s couch while trying to scrape together the funds to rent her own apartment, including all the required deposits. While her income is enough to pay her bills going forward, she lacked the savings required for all the initial costs. SVDP helped her secure housing and put her on good footing so she can house herself and her daughter in safety going forward. Thank you for the support which made this possible! Special thanks to the Our Saviour Knights of Columbus organization made a large donation of food to our ministry in early April 2026. To donate non- perishable food items to our ministry, there are baskets located in the vestibule and next to the altar steps of the church. Many thanks for all the generous donations we have received, which help feed the needy in our own community.

For the Third Sunday of Easter, the Gospel reading is the story of the disciples encountering the risen Jesus while walking on the road to Emmaus. In our own daily walk with the risen Christ, we are called to recognize Christ in our neighbors in need. When you donate to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, you do just that. Last month, many of you helped fill the empty shelves at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry when you brought in bags filled with non-perishable foods for our Lenten food drive. Last year, our neighbors in need picked up donated food from our pantry 3,260 times, providing $64,476 in groceries to the needy in our community. Thank you for sharing the love of Jesus through your generosity! We ask you to continue your support of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. If you write a check, please make the check payable to: SVDP Our Saviour’s Conference and mail it to 130 Cleveland Avenue, Suite C, Cocoa Beach FL 32931, or deposit cash or check in the poor boxes in church. You can also donate by credit card with the following link to our online giving portal https://www.wesharegiving.org/app/giving/st130215.

When you donate to St. Vincent de Paul Church of Our Saviour, you say, “Peace be with you!” to local neighbors who are poor and hungry. Recently, your gifts enabled us to help a single mother with two young children avoid eviction and homelessness. This family shares a one-bedroom apartment with her mother to keep a roof over their heads, but struggles to make ends meet. While the single mom has steady job, missed child support payments left her needing a one-time helping hand up to continue supporting herself and her children. Thank you for your generosity!
