What a beautiful weekend celebrating the incredible women and mothers in our church family and community at our “My Cup Runneth Over” Mother’s Day event 🫶🏻

As women, we wear so many hats every single day — mothers, wives, daughters, friends, caretakers, encouragers, leaders, and so much more. Sometimes the weight of it all can leave us feeling tired, stretched thin, and wondering if we’re enough for everything we’re called to carry.

But what a comfort it is to know that when we feel weak, overwhelmed, or incapable… God is still faithful. He strengthens us, pours into us, and reminds us that we were never meant to carry it all alone. Through every season, His grace continues to overflow.

Psalm 23:5 says, “My cup runneth over,” and we pray each woman left this weekend feeling encouraged, loved, refreshed, and reminded of just how deeply valued she is.

We are so thankful for the intentional time spent together, the fellowship, the laughter, the conversations, and the opportunity to simply pour into one another.

We hope each of you had a beautiful and blessed Mother’s Day! 😊

We understood the assignment. 🎨

Brushes were busy.
Masterpieces were created.
Memories were made.

A huge thank you to Robyn for going above and beyond to make our ladies’ night at Robyn’s Nest Art Studio such a fun and unforgettable experience. We painted while listening to worship music, creating such a peaceful and joyful atmosphere. Robyn beautifully ended the evening with an encouraging and inspiring word from Ecclesiastes that truly touched our hearts. We felt so welcomed, cared for, and completely taken care of. It was absolutely perfect. 💕

The deadline is quickly approaching for our February gathering—our Paint Party! 🎨

We’re so excited to spend the evening at a local studio in a beautiful setting, enjoying an easy and fun painting experience (she’ll even be drawing the outlines for us 😅). We’ll snack on some delicious treats, hear a Word from Robyn—the artist and our sister in Christ—and enjoy sweet fellowship together. This is definitely a Friday night you won’t want to miss!

We're having our own private paint party at a local studio! An email was sent out with all the details. If you didn't receive it, comment below or call the church office.

Thoughts from a couple of our Women's Ministry Team leaders in regards to last night's dinner outing:

"We didn’t get a single picture tonight, but as I gazed around the room, the picture painted on my heart is one I won’t soon forget. Women engrossed in conversation, laughing, sharing stories, and simply being together.

There’s something healing that happens in those moments. It’s something a camera could never capture, something only seen through the hearts and eyes of the women sitting across the table from you, sharing a laugh, a smile, cheese dip, and maybe even a sip of your neighbor’s Diet Coke by accident.

Scripture reminds us, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11). That’s exactly what was happening around those tables, hearts being lifted simply by being present with one another.

I’m praying for many more women’s gatherings like this, where we forget the camera, embrace the love in the room, and keep showing up for one another."

"1000% agree!! It’s soooo easy to get caught up in trying to capture the moment that it almost loses its focus and impact. I love taking pictures, but honestly the best parts are the ones we can’t even fully photograph 🥹🤍

Just unplugging and soaking up the conversations, the hugs, the laughter, the encouragement, the support… and of course the accidental sip of the wrong drink because you grabbed the wrong cup 🤣😂 There is seriously a healing power in that kind of community, and I know it had to touch the heart of every woman there tonight.

I’m so excited to have more nights like this, and yes I’ll still take some pictures to share because I truly want other women to see what it’s like to be a part of such an amazing women’s ministry and community at First Baptist… it’s so special and I want more women to experience it too!!
