Dear Cobb Island Celebrate Recovery Family,

As we close out our second year of Celebrate Recovery Cobb Island, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Thank you for showing up—week after week, month after month—with honesty, courage, and a desire to grow. Your presence has shaped this ministry into a place of safety, transformation, and genuine community.

This year, we witnessed God move in powerful ways. We saw relationships restored, boundaries strengthened, and hope rekindled. We watched people take brave steps toward healing—owning their stories, making amends, offering forgiveness, and discovering freedom from hurts, hang‑ups, and habits that once felt impossible to overcome. We celebrated victories big and small, knowing each one reflects God’s grace at work in us.

We also grew together spiritually. Through lessons, testimonies, worship, and open share groups, we learned to trust God more deeply, surrender more fully, and walk more confidently in the new life He offers. What a gift it has been to see faith take root, grow stronger, and shine brighter in this community.

To every leader, volunteer, newcomer, and faithful attender—thank you. Your willingness to be real, to support one another, and to keep coming back has made Celebrate Recovery Cobb Island a beacon of hope.

And now, as we look ahead, we’re excited to invite you into Year Three that starts Jan 8th at 6:30. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or you’re just discovering CR, there is a place for you here. God isn’t finished with us. The best is still ahead, and we can’t wait to continue this journey of healing, growth, and freedom together.

Thank you for being part of this family. Thank you for believing that change is possible. Thank you for choosing hope.

Apologies for not posting the last few announcements for our Thursday meetings at Celebrate Recovery Cobb Island. We will not be having a meeting this coming week and in lieu of, have a special Thanksgiving Prayer.

Heavenly Father,
On this Thanksgiving, we come to you as a family of grace and healing. We thank You for the gift of recovery, for the courage to face our hurts, habits, and hang-ups, and for the hope You plant in our hearts each day.

We are grateful for the Celebrate Recovery ministry here on Cobb Island and around the world, for the testimonies that remind us of Your power, and for the lessons that guide us toward freedom. Thank You for the leaders, volunteers, and every brother and sister who walks this journey together.

Lord, we lift up our gratitude for second chances, for forgiveness that restores, and for the joy of fellowship. May this season remind us that true abundance is found not in what we have, but in who we are becoming through You.

Bless our meal, our conversations, and our time together. May we leave this time of togetherness renewed in spirit, strengthened in recovery, and overflowing with thanksgiving.

Come out this Thursday night at 7:00 PM at Cobb Island Baptist Church for a lesson that marks a turning point: not just admitting faults, but being ready for real change. Readiness means voluntary submission and humble openness to God’s work. Growth is a process—Celebrate Recovery encourages replacing old patterns with new, life-giving ones.

Each letter in “READY” represents a key action or mindset for this stage of recovery:

| R | Release Control | Let go of self-will and invite God into every area of your life. |
| E | Easy Does It | Change takes time—be patient and trust God’s timing. |
