Let’s have some fun!

Each week I’m going to post a trivia question.
Let’s see how you all do! 😊

Noah

God called Noah to a unique and important task. In anticipation of the great flood he would send upon the earth, God appointed Noah to build an ark to preserve his family and two of every kind of animal.

Question

Of what wood was Noah’s Ark made from?

Thanks for the Change!
Apparently you all dug extra deep in your pockets last week! Our very noisy offering yielded $78.82, which brings our 2026 total to $212.98. This money goes into our Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, which is a fund that we rely on to assist local families with daily living expenses. Thanks to your generosity, Doe Run has been able to assist several families already this year. Thank you!

Welcome Chris!

We extend a very warm welcome to our new Music Director, Christine Myers-Tegeder. Chris is an accomplished musician who kicks off her tenure with us this week leading music with guitar and voice. Next week you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy her talents at the piano as well. Chris and her dog Gibson relocated to the area recently from Utah. Her husband Mark and their cats hope to follow in the next few months when Mark is able to secure a job transfer to the area. In addition to serving as our Music Director, Chris serves as a hospital chaplain at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. Welcome, Chris! We’re glad you’re here!

This Week at Doe Run

June 5, 2026

Good morning, Doe Run Family!

This week we begin our summer Outdoor Worship series! On the first Sunday of each month we will gather outside in the front yard under the dogwood trees for a time of casual worship, enjoying each other and the world around us. I hope you’ll plan to join us!

Please dress comfortably and plan to bring a lawn chair and a water bottle (or coffee!). We will have people on hand to help you get whatever you need to the correct place - please don’t worry that it will be extra challenging. We’ll make sure you’re taken care of.

If the weather is too hot or rainy, we will move our worship into the Fellowship Hall.

Blessings on your day!

Sign Up to Sponsor Sanctuary Flowers

Flowers beautify the sanctuary and are a gift that continues to give. When you sign up to give the flowers for worship, you get to do one of three things: you can take them home and enjoy them after worship (they will last 2 weeks or more with simple care), you can gift them to someone who might need a pick me up, or you can offer them to the Deacon of the Month to be shared with one of our home bound members. No matter which you choose, these flowers will be a bright spot for the recipient. To place flowers in the sanctuary, please sign up on the flower calendar located on the door to the Nicholas Room and place your cash or check ($35) in the offering plate clearly marked as flower donation. Please also include bulletin wording so that we attribute the flowers correctly.
