It's that time of year for picnics and fun! Come out as a guest at the Coal City Area Club for a relaxing afternoon with a little BBQ, fishing, games and more importantly socializing. Meet new people. Fish with friends. Play some pickle ball or throw some horse shoes. I heard there may even be a kickball game! The Fellowship Committee is providing the burgers, dogs and brats with a couple drink options. Bring a side or dessert and let's have some outdoor fun!

We want to mention that these littles did an amazing job at their playing of bells for the 11:30am mass Easter Sunday! This is such a talented group playing to tempo, 3:4 measure, 1/8 notes, and not being directed and staying on beat!! Great job!! Assumption's Children's Bell Choir preformed twice a year at Christmas and Easter. If you know a child that is interested in having fun, learning a bit about music, and joining up for the next season's performance, please contact the office secretary (815.634.4171 ext:1) and leave your contact information and they'll reach out to you. Christmas session begins in September!!

It's getting about that time! Bike riding time! The weather is only going to get warmer from here on out which means it's time to start getting those motorcycles, bicycles, tricycles, strollers, wagons, scooters or even your unicycle out to ride! Before you hit the open road or even the trails, ride on over for a blessing for you and your cycling companion before you head out! We all know we can use a little extra protection on the road or trail. Don't forget to stop by the Berst Hall afterwards for some hotdogs, pizza, drinks and don't forget your pop-cycle! And yes we'll even give you motorcyclist a pop-cycle too. 😉👍Hang out for some face painting by our lovely and talented Julie Appleton. And if your interested, stay a bit to catch the Civil War Presentation by our one and only Ron Marketti. Ron has been collecting Civil War artifacts and will have them on display for all to enjoy. So we hope 2-wheel ya out there!

Looking to celebrate Holy Week, look no further. Come on out and experience the sacred Trinity. Confessions will be heard on Friday. On Easter Vigil we have battery operated candles for the littles and those who prefer not having an open flame so all can partake. We will be welcoming and congratulating over 12 people joining the faith that evening for Easter Vigil. Hope to see you out here and that ALL have a Happy and Joyous Easter!!!

Easter is coming up sooner than we think, so is our 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt!! Come on out and join us, rain or shine, ages Newborn - 11yrs old (6th grade). If it's raining, the hunt is moved to the Berst Hall. The littles NB-3yrs will meet by the Chapel on Church St. All the other littles will gather in the front of the church steps on Kankakee St. Afterwards join us for snacks and drinks in the Berst Hall as well as a few other surprises! Hop to see you out there!
