Statement on the Tragic Attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego

With deep sadness and sorrow, we received the news of the tragic attack targeting our brothers and sisters at the Islamic Center of San Diego ( Abo Bakr Masjid )

We ask Allah to shower His mercy upon all those who lost their lives, especially our *brother Ameen*, whose brave and heroic actions in protecting worshippers and children reflected true courage and sacrifice, as well as the other two brothers who tragically passed away in this painful incident.
We ask Allah to accept all three of them as martyrs and grant them the highest levels of Jannah.

Islam completely rejects violence, hatred, and attacks against places of worship and innocent people.
We also appreciate the swift response of law enforcement and their serious handling of the situation according to the law.
Alhamdulillah, the situation is now stable, and the area has been secured.

We ask Allah to protect our Masajid and communities, and to spread peace, safety, and mercy among all people.

Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return 🤲
