Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026

This Sunday we celebrate the sending of the Holy Spirit, who enabled the Disciples to take the message of Christ crucified and risen to the world. The Holy Spirit also enables people of all time to hear that message in their hearts to bring them to faith in Jesus Christ. May you be blessed by that same Holy Spirit today. The Lord Jesus Christ was exalted by His Heavenly Father to rule over all things at His right hand. What does that mean for those who believe in Him as their Lord and Savior? What are those who follow Him as the Risen and exalted Lord to be doing until He returns in His full power and glory? I hope to answer those questions and a couple more in my sermon this morning. Peter gives us guidance and encouragement on how to live our lives of faith until our Lord returns even when we face persecution! We live our faith in a hope which beyond this world. We live knowing that as the Christian life we live confronts a sinful world, God is with us and gives us all we need to overcome it in His Son, our Lord. Last week I talked about Jesus' statement- "I am the Door" A plain, strong statement that there is no other way to heaven, but through faith in Him! This week the Father proclaims there is only ONE foundation for your faith and life. His chosen, precious cornerstone, His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord. Bob was given His crown of life on Saturday April 18th, 2026
His service of Christian burial and celebration of life will be Friday April 24, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clyman Wi. Visitation will be from 9am to 11am. The Service will begin at 11am.
We know that Bob is in heaven because of his faith in his Risen Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ. Please keep Marilyn and his family in your prayers for strength and healing in their time of loss. Thank you. Pastor Dan

The Third Sunday of Easter, April 19, 2026

Peter was writing to young in faith, persecuted Christians who were doubting if their new faith was worth it. He encourages them to stand firm in their faith as they have been redeemed in Christ and they call on the Almighty God calling Him-Father! They are a child of God and their life on earth is temporary. The life they look to beyond this world is heaven. An eternal time of peace and Joy!
