I thought I wanted revenge, but God gave me peace. And can I tell you something? I’m so grateful He did. Because some of us have spent too much time carrying anger over things God never intended for us to carry. We’ve replayed the conversations. We’ve thought about what we should’ve said. We’ve imagined getting even. We’ve wanted people to feel the same hurt they caused us. But God didn’t call us to live weighed down by bitterness. He called us to walk in peace. See, the enemy wants you distracted by offense. He wants you stuck in resentment. He wants you fighting battles God never assigned to you. He wants your focus on the people who hurt you instead of the God who can heal you. But there comes a point where you have to make a decision. Are you going to keep carrying the hurt, or are you going to hand it to God? Because the truth is, God saw what happened. He saw every tear. He heard every lie. He witnessed every betrayal. He knows every detail that nobody else understands. And if God saw it, you can stop stressing over whether justice will come. Romans 12:19 says, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.” That means you don’t have to prove your point. You don’t have to get even. You don’t have to spend your days plotting a response. Your job is to heal. Your job is to trust. Your job is to keep your heart clean and keep moving forward. Don’t let what they did turn you into someone God never called you to be. Don’t lose your peace trying to teach someone a lesson. God is a much better defender than you’ll ever have to be. So release the hurt. Release the anger. Release the need to have the last word. And let God do what only God can do. Because peace will always take you further than revenge ever could.

Good afternoon TRC,

Concerning the service tonight, and Tropical Storm Arthur, in looking at the weather, the bulk of the rain is staying offshore and moving further up the coast. Therefore, we will have service tonight. Bishop and I have conferred and we agree. I have also spoken to Bro. Johnson, and he is also on go.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you there. Please do not miss if at all possible. From where I am sitting typing this message, I can see blue sky over Lake Jackson. Thank you Jesus!
