The Rooted Life (Psalm 1:1-6)
Join us this Sunday at 11am for our morning worship. We will begin a new series in the Psalms titled "Summer in the Psalms".

This week Pastor Gerry teaches that a blessed life is not accidental but is the result of being deeply rooted in the Lord and His Word. He discusses the downward progression of walking with the ungodly, standing with sinners, and sitting with the scornful, showing how compromise slowly weakens spiritual growth. This message highlights the importance of separating from worldly influence, delighting in Scripture, and meditating on God's truth day and night. Pastor Gerry explains that spiritual stability comes from developing deep roots before the storms of life arrive. He also contrasts the fruitful life of the righteous with the instability and ultimate destruction of the wicked. Through Psalm 1, believers are challenged to examine what is shaping their thinking and where they have planted their lives.

Join us Sunday mornings as we begin a new series out of the book of psalms starting this week.

Series Overview
In this Summer in the Psalms series, Pastor Gerry walks through eight powerful psalms that trace the spiritual growth of a believer from salvation to worship. Beginning in Psalm 1, he teaches how a life rooted in God's Word becomes stable, fruitful, and prepared for the challenges ahead. From there, Psalm 2 calls believers to bow before the authority of King Jesus and live in joyful submission to His rule. Psalm 23 then reveals the faithful care of the Good Shepherd who provides, guides, restores, and protects His sheep through every season of life. As the journey continues, Psalm 46 teaches how to experience peace and stability when life's storms threaten to shake our confidence and faith. Psalm 51 and Psalm 73 address two common struggles of the Christian life—sin that requires repentance and distorted vision that must be corrected by entering God's presence. Psalm 121 reminds believers that their help comes from the Lord alone and encourages them to keep their eyes fixed on Him throughout life's journey. Finally, Psalm 150 brings the series to its fitting conclusion by showing that the ultimate purpose of every believer is to praise God, declaring that every step of spiritual growth is designed to lead us into joyful worship of our Savior.
