Here's an invitation for you to attend an official "unveiling" of donated art work (two large acrylic paintings) to the CCC art collection! Date: Thursday, Feb. 5; Place: Clovis Community College in the 400 classroom hallway, just around the corner from the Early College High School area; Time: 5:30 p.m.; artist: Scott R. Blazek; no refreshments planned, but Q & A may follow as time permits. (In conjunction with and arranged by the CCC Art Committee and Bob Dart). Note: This is the same evening as the Pintores Art League's regular monthly meeting, same time (6:00 p.m.) and place (CCC Phase V painting room).

Please take care of stray cats, dogs, and the wild birds during this time of bitter freezing weather. They have no water to drink unless we provide it.
I'm putting metal bowls with water by my front and back doors, and changing them several times a day, as they freeze solid in a few hours. Also bowls of dry cat chow in sheltered spots by the front and back doors. From the tracks in the snow I can see that lots of birds come, and also several cats.
For those of you who are going to try driving your car - thump the hood several times before starting the engine, in case any cats have crawled in by the engine to keep warm.
I leave the garage door cracked open so that strays can get inside the garage for shelter.
