This Sunday at Trinity UMC we’ll be celebrating Graduation Sunday as we recognize Gavin and this important milestone in his life.

Graduation moments matter because they remind us that growth rarely happens overnight. They come after years of learning, perseverance, challenges, encouragement, and grace.

As a church, we believe celebrating one another is part of what it means to be community.

We’ll also be celebrating Pentecost Sunday as we remember the Holy Spirit being poured out upon God’s people.

If you’d like, feel free to wear red for Pentecost, and if you’d like to bring Gavin a card of encouragement or congratulations, you are welcome to do so.

Join us this Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Worship begins at 10:45 AM.

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday… the birthday of the Church.

It’s the day we remember that God’s Holy Spirit showed up in a powerful way and changed a group of scared disciples into people bold enough to go love the world.

We’ll celebrate Pentecost together this Sunday at Trinity UMC, welcome new members into the life of the church, and worship together as a community.

And since Pentecost is traditionally associated with fire and the movement of the Spirit, feel free to wear red if you’d like.

We’d love to have you with us.

This past Sunday, we were blessed to hear a powerful message from our Lay Leader, David Robinson. David has a deep love for this church and a heart for helping people grow in faith, and it showed throughout the service.

One of the beautiful things about the Church is that ministry is something we do together. God speaks through pastors, yes, but also through faithful laypeople who step forward with wisdom, compassion, and courage. We are grateful for David’s leadership and for the ways he continues to help shape the life of our church community.

If you missed worship this week, or would like to revisit the message, you can watch the full service here:

To see a world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.

According to a recent study by neuroscientists published in the journal of Brain Connectivity, reading a novel can improve brain function on a variety of levels. The ability to use your imagination and put yourself in the shoes of another person is similar to developing muscle memory in sports, according to the study.
