Sonrise Church of Clovis

Sonrise Church of Clovis A place where you and your family can begin again.

06/19/2026

If you are standing today in that heavy fog of uncertainty, trying desperately to force a door open or figure out the next five years, I want to invite you to drop your weight. Stop leaning so hard on your own understanding. It is okay that you don't know what next year looks like. It is okay that the blueprint hasn't arrived.
Instead, I want you to practice the discipline of the single step. Take your eyes off the horizon and look down at your feet. What is the next right thing? Not the next twenty things, just the next single step taken in alignment, integrity, and trust.
When you trade the exhausting, self-reliant striving of the flesh for the restful guidance of the Spirit, the fog doesn’t immediately vanish—but your panic does. You can step into the dark with absolute confidence, knowing that your future has already been settled, your steps are being ordered, and you are being led securely home. Let’s talk about this Sunday at 10am.

No Worries... The Architecture of a Broken Heart:
Why We Must Learn to Inhabit the Pit
Grief and Loss

06/12/2026

If you find yourself today in the throes of a deeply emotional pit, I want to give you permission to stop trying so hard to get out. Stop trying to fix the unfixable. Stop trying to feed a soul hunger with temporary distractions. Instead, I invite you to practice the discipline of the empty space. Feel the weight of the crushed spirit, because it is in the quiet gravity of the pit, that the architecture shifts. When you stop fighting the dark, your eyes adjust. You begin to notice the invisible scaffolding of a presence that refuses to leave your side. You move from the exhausting, striving defense mechanisms of the flesh, and you drop into the restful, sustained reality of the Spirit. The pit is not your destination. You won’t live there forever. But do not bypass it too quickly. For it is in the deepest hollows of our grief that our deepest hungers are finally met with a comfort that cannot be shaken. I want to talk about that Sunday at 10AM.

No Worries: Biblical Promises for Life's Changes
Health and Healing: A Personal Journey
Isaiah 41:10, James 5:14-15, and Proverbs 17:22

06/05/2026

When life throws its challenges our way, let us remember: we are never alone. Isaiah 41:10 assures us that we do not need to fear; God is with us. He strengthens us and upholds us. And as we gather in community, praying for one another, we create a tapestry of support and love that reflects the heart of God. I want to give you this thought: life is unpredictable, and change is inevitable. But amidst the uncertainty, we can find solace in God’s promises. God walks with us, and together, we can face whatever comes next. So, no worries—embrace the promises of God, lean on your community, and remember that healing, both physical and emotional, is possible. If you know someone who is struggling, be that source of comfort and encouragement. Offer to pray with them, to listen, or simply to be present. Your presence can be a powerful reminder of God’s love. Let’s talk about that Sunday at 10AM.
