✨ A Thankful Farewell ✨

My dear friends, clients, and followers,

After 5–6 beautiful years, I feel like it’s time for me to lovingly close the chapter of my life as a small business owner. This path has shifted and transformed many times. From my early days of candles and oils as Gramma’s Old World Remedies, to merging with the magickal community at Gaia’s Garden, and eventually becoming the service-based practice you’ve known as The Witch Crystal. Through every change, I’ve allowed fate, spirit, and the needs of those who found me to guide the evolution. I’m so grateful I chose to follow that flow instead of trying to force what I thought I wanted. Fate knew exactly where I needed to be.

Recently, life has brought me full circle, back to a career I once loved and am happy to return to. With this shift, I will be stepping out of the public eye. I’ll continue offering readings, guidance, and spiritual work privately; just for friends, family, and the occasional friend-of-a-friend.

To my clients: you are no longer clients, but friends and cherished souls who walked alongside me. And to all of you who have supported, encouraged, and believed in me: you have been a blessing in my life. Thank you for every message, every shared moment, every trust placed in my hands. I carry all of it with me.

This is not a goodbye to the Magick…only a gentle closing of the public chapter. My path continues, and I leave this part of it with gratitude, peace, and love.

🔮✨ Samhain: The Witch’s New Year ✨🔮

As the veil thins and the year’s wheel turns, we step into Samhain (pronounced “Sow-in”), one of the most powerful and sacred Sabbats of the year. 🍂

This is the Witch’s New Year — a time to honor ancestors, release what no longer serves us, and welcome the dark half of the year with reverence and reflection. The harvest is complete, and the Earth prepares to rest… so should we. 🌑

🔥 Traditions You Might Love:
• Light a candle in the window to guide spirits home and honor loved ones who’ve crossed over.
• Write down what you’re ready to release and safely burn it in a fire — let the smoke carry it away.
• Create a dumb supper — a silent meal shared with the spirits of your ancestors.
• Dress up, dance, laugh — this night also birthed what we now know as Halloween!

🌕 Metaphysical Energy:
Samhain is a potent time for divination, rune readings, dream work, and spirit communication. The veil between worlds is thin — trust your intuition and listen for whispers from beyond.

✨ A Witch Crystal Reminder:
Samhain isn’t about fear — it’s about connection. To the dead, to the Earth, and to your own transformation. Death is not an end… it’s a sacred doorway. 🌙

Everyone focuses so much on Valhalla, but if you’re like me, daily battle does not sound like a great way to spend my afterlife.

🌿 I choose to go to: Vólkvangr.
Freyja’s Field of the Fallen 🌿

In Norse mythology, when the brave fall, not all go to Valhalla. Half are chosen by Freyja, goddess of love/lust, magic, and battle, to dwell in Vólkvangr “the Field of the People.”

Unlike Odin’s Valhalla, where warriors train for the final battle, Vólkvangr is a realm of peace and renewal. It’s believed to be a golden meadow where souls rest and reconnect with loved ones.

Freyja welcomes not only warriors, but also those who die honorable deaths. For example: women who give their lives in childbirth, healers, and those who show great courage or devotion.

It’s a place where valor meets compassion, and strength is honored through love as much as battle. 🌸

Week 9: Rooibos

Medicinal Magic: Naturally caffeine-free, rooibos tea is full of minerals, eases inflammation, and supports skin health.

Spiritual Use: Rooibos, native to South Africa, is tied to grounding and ancestral connection. It’s often used to bring balance and calm.

Fun Fact: In WWII, when Asian teas were scarce, rooibos became popular in Europe as a substitute—earning it the nickname “red bush rescue.” 🛟

🍎 Tuesday’s Tea 🫖
Week 8: Apple Peel

Medicinal Magic: Apple peel tea is rich in antioxidants, helps regulate blood sugar, and soothes the stomach.

Spiritual Use: Apples symbolize knowledge, immortality, and love. In Celtic tradition, they were sacred to the Otherworld and seen as gateways to faery realms.

Fun Fact: In colonial America, apple peel tea was a thrifty way to avoid waste. Some folks jokingly called it “poor man’s cider.” 💸

🌿✨ Honoring Indigenous Peoples Day ✨🌿

Today, I bow in deep reverence to the First Peoples of this land… the original stewards of Earth, spirit, and sky. Their wisdom still hums through the roots, dances with the wind, and whispers in the waters.

As a witch and an outsider walking my own spiritual path, I respect the sacred traditions, resilience, and magic that have endured for generations despite those who continue to try to silence their voices. May we listen more, learn deeply, and walk gently in gratitude, respect, and allyship.

To the Indigenous ancestors and living descendants: your spirit endures, your stories matter, and your light guides the way. 🌕🔥🌿
