Sikhs and Jews emerged as the most likely to share their worldly goods with a good cause, just ahead of Christians, Hindus and Muslims.

"At a time when public healthcare system is in tatters and private hospitals and labs are beyond the reach of poor people, the Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib of Delhi is coming up with a noble humanitarian move for poor patients. It is starting a diagnostic facility where standard diagnostic facilities, including MRI will be provided at nominal price."

"Human life is so precious, it has been given to us by God for finding our essence, so we need to always remain connected with God, means with our roots. For example, if a tree is strongly connected it its roots it can give fruits, flowers, fragrance etc. Similarly, to know our roots or essence, we should connect ourselves with the Guru. Guru is the one which makes us to join with our roots i.e. Transcendental Lord."

"In the similar spirit of Sewa, this group of individuals from Nova Scotia, Canada have found a great way to serve their fellow community members in their adopted home. This group has been working to raise awareness and fundraise for many different Canadian charities representing causes such as ALS, Blood Cancer and local food banks."

Their unique way of fundraising includes making Bhangra videos and making a call to the community to seek donations for the cause at the end of the video. Interested people are redirected to the official websites of these charities where they can donate their time or money.

Offering a vegan diet will attract more people to our gurdwaras, without detracting from the sangat which relies on vegetarian cuisine. In doing so the Sikh community will also be doing their bit for supporting the well-being of animals and the environment, which is encouraged in gurbani."

"Imagine what all can happen if you know Waheguru and develop strong connection - everything in your material and spiritual world gets sorted out. This insight intrigued me and I started on the journey to know more about Waheguru and also on how I could develop better relationship. The note below is outcome of that search and I was guided by my Guru (SGGS) through the process."
