We extend our warmest congratulations to the Halifax County Usher Union and Vicinity on the occasion of their anniversary celebration on Sunday. Pastor Alfred L. Chandler delivered an inspiring message, providing valuable encouragement to the ushers with his subject, “Encouraging Words for Ushers While You Serve and Honor God”. Deaconess Evelyn Easley demonstrated exceptional leadership as the Worship Leader. The St. Matthew Gospel choir presented an uplifting musical performance, rendering songs of praise. We offer our congratulations to Mr. Earl Howerton of Mountain Grove, who was crowned King for 2026. Additionally, we congratulate Christian Lacks, the St. Matthew king representative, who was accompanied by his mother, Cassandra Lacks. We also congratulate all the other churches represented.

Today's church service was exceptional, featuring a sermon by Pastor Chandler based on Jeremiah 20:7-9, titled 'Discouraged but not Defeated.' The choir delivered an outstanding rendition of songs following their participation in a successful revival last week. We extend our deepest gratitude to Pastor Antonio Logan and the Greater Triumph Baptist Church for providing an unforgettable worship experience. Additionally, we appreciate the musical contributions from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Berean Baptist Church choirs, whose praise songs greatly enriched our service.
