There are so many good things at church on Sundays.
The youth
The small groups
The music
The atmosphere
The fellowship
The preaching

But none of it matters if you’re not there to meet with Jesus.

God doesn’t want hollow worship.
Amos 5:23 says, “Take away from Me the noise of your songs, For I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments.”

He told the religious teachers in Mark 7:6 “they honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.“

Don’t go to church this morning because it’s what you’ve always done.
Or because you feel obligated.

Go to meet with Jesus.
Go to know Him better.
Go to worship Him.
Go to love and serve Him and others.

For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
Hosea 6:6
