Good afternoon, St. Mary’s Parishioners –

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, the parish office will close at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow.

First Friday, September 4: Tomorrow’s 8:15 a.m. Mass will be held in the Main Church. Our 24-hour Eucharistic Adoration will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. and continue thru Saturday, September 5, at 9:00 a.m. in the Main Church. Saturday’s 9:00 a.m. Mass will also be held in the Main Church.

Youth Group Family Night: Everyone is invited to join St. Mary’s Youth Group as they kick off the new school year with a special welcome, opening prayer, and Meet & Greet! Join us tomorrow (Friday, September 4) at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

2026-2027 Parish School of Religion (PSR): Registration continues this weekend after all Masses. Stop by the registration table in the narthex of the Main Church.

Second Collection: This weekend’s second collection will be for The Catholic University of America.

Good afternoon, St. Mary’s Parishioners –

Patriotic Rosary: Join us Friday, August 14, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady’s Chapel.

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Fr. Greg will celebrate a Vigil Mass Friday, August 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Church, and Saturday Mass on August 15, at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Church. There will be no 9:00 a.m. Mass on Saturday in Our Lady’s Chapel.

Study Moments VII – Drawing Our Children Back to Jesus and His Church: Dr. Martin’s next 6-week series begins Sunday, August 30, in the Emmaus Room. See the attached flyer for details and class options. Sign-up sheets will be in both churches beginning this weekend.

Parish School of Religion (PSR): Registration for the 2026-2027 PSR year kicks off next weekend, September 22, after the 4:00 p.m. Mass. Look for the registration table in the narthex of the Main Church. Families may register after each Mass and are encouraged to stop by with any questions. Classes begin September 20.

Fill-In Adorers Needed – Adoration Call List: We are compiling a list of parishioners who are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to cover open adoration hours, sometimes with short notice. If you are available during daytime hours and would like to be placed on the Adoration call list, please contact Anne Marie Ramsey at 202-368-7189.

Dear St. Mary's Family & Friends:

I would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU to those who helped make Fr. Conor's farewell gathering a success. From setting up the hall and helping decorate, to providing awesome food and drinks, to finding the perfect Irish music, to sharing heartfelt poems and expressing your deep gratitude for all that Fr. Conor gave to our parish and school . . . thank you. I pray that Fr. Conor continues to feel our prayers, our love, and our support as he settles in at St. John the Baptist!
