New Pack started tonight!

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING CAMP BUCK TOMS

Earlier today, a small fire was started due to high winds blowing over a tree that fell on the power lines at Camp Buck Toms. At the time of the fire, emergency services were notified and all Scouts and Scouters on camp were sheltered in the dining hall. Around 7pm, the Forestry Service approved the evacuation of all 99 campers. This was done with the oversight of emergency services, and everyone was successfully and safely evacuated.

At no time was any Scout in danger. And for the safety of the firefighters, emergency services, and forestry services who are fighting the fire, do not attempt to enter camp.

More details regarding any damage to camp as we learn more.

For those of you who don’t know we haven’t been meeting because of the church we normally meet at hasn’t made plans to reopen currently. If that changes we will let everyone know. As a leader if you believe your Scouts could meet and observe social distancing at a different location please let us know.

I apologize for being absent the past few months, there have been a lot of crazy days and nights with a brand new baby. Cute picture to emphasize apology.
