‼️Update‼️ The MIGHTY LORD heard all of our prayers!! Pastor Townsend’s scan came back that there is NO SPREADING or SIGN of cancer anywhere except the colon. We wanted complete healing or best case scenario and the Lord answered!

If you will pray for these next prayer requests we would appreciate it. 💙

1. Pray that the cancer is isolated to the section where the tumor is and nowhere else in the colon. They could not investigate past that part of the colon because the tumor has blocked the rest of majority of the colon off. The scan cannot pick up this. They will be able to know more during surgery.

2. He will see an oncologist tomorrow at 4 p.m. we are praying for complete wisdom and guidance from the Lord for the best care plan.

3. He meets the surgeon Thursday to schedule removal. Pray this is done quickly as per requested by his doctor and team.

4. Please pray for physical and emotional strength. As you can imagine this has been a roller coaster ride.

We are so thankful for all that have prayed with us that there was no spread of this disease. The Lord DESERVES the glory for answering this! So, spread this good report!!!

He still has a road ahead but we are so incredibly grateful that this is only in the colon and have confidence the Lord is with us as we take the next steps. For those that are asking and to clarify… It is stage 3 but we have a God and He is before all things and in Him all things hold together! We will remain confident in this….WE WILL CONTINUE TO SEE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD.

‼️Urgent prayer need‼️
This past Tuesday, Pastor Derrick Townsend was diagnosed with colon cancer. He has a large tumor in the lower section of his colon. He will be having a full body cat scan on Tuesday to determine if it has spread anywhere as the tumor is quite aged and large. We have specific prayer requests.
One- that you all will pray for our family at this time.
Two- that this is contained to the area it is located and has not spread.
Three- a miracle overall that even the cancerous tumor will be gone and complete healing.
Four- the right doctors, team, and care plan if the Lord chooses for us to walk this path.

This is Chrissy Townsend writing this for my husband. He has a lot on his plate as a full time employee for Ergon Co. with a high demand job that doesn’t stop. He is a full time pastor of our church plant on top of being a husband and father. He will need support, the Lord’s strength and connection from his church family and community of family and friends at this time.

Under normal circumstances we would not post things of this nature but we want everyone praying and fasting!

We will have a special prayer time THIS SUNDAY FOR PASTOR. We will also have a 12 hour prayer day this coming Monday. Please join us if you are available and a part of FFC and choose an hour to pray at the church. If you aren’t apart of FFC and would like to join us please pray on Monday for the needs mentioned.
