Jesus Visits Martha and Mary

38 As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. 39 Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. 40 But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.”

41 But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! 42 There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

We are excited to share these photos because they represent a year of preparations for after-school care at First Presbyterian Church, Clinton. YWCA Rock County provides the programming, Clinton Community School District provides contracted bus transportation, and two teachers lead the care for registered children ages 4K-12.

We welcome Kristi Holmbeck, lead teacher, and Izzy Cantwell, assistant teacher. Today they were joined by Angie Thompson, Child Care Program Director for YWCA Rock County. Wendy Korth, childcare committee moderator at 1st Pres, even rode the bus with the kids today on their first drop-off day. 🤗

Registration is still available for after-school care, and there’s a growing list for before-school care too.

Ready, set…OPEN! After/school childcare provided through YWCA Rock County will begin tomorrow after school for all registered kids. We have room for more kids, please register.
