Sunday, August 9th, was Missions Emphasis Sunday at Sharon PH Church. We welcomed Al and Coli Argo and their friend Will. They are missionaries to Southeast Asia having served in the IPHC World Missions for 25 years. Thanks to the Al Argo family for ministering to us in word and prayer during this special service.

Sharon PH Church welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Gary Whaley (Lisa) at our Sunday morning service. Brother Gary, Retired Fire Chief of Goldsboro and Director of Flight Operations for the University of Mt. Olive, titled his message “How to Have Faith and Keep Faith in the Middle of Doubt.” We are always blessed to have Sunday School Superintendent RF Fann lead us in our church preliminaries when Pastor Gentry is away and our faithful pianist, Debbie Alphin, to lead with our music.

The Sharon PH Church WM ladies had a great June meeting! Our WM Director, Roberta Vann, presented a meaningful devotion on special mothers of the Bible. The Sharon men hosted a delicious meal as promised on Mother’s Day. The men were great cooks and we thank them for their thoughtfulness and hard work!

On Sunday, Sharon PH Church was honored to have Sister Rose Boyd minister in song and message. She blessed us with an old, but beautiful song, “Sheltered in the Arms of God.” The message was titled, “The Race of Faith” from Hebrews 12:1-2 encouraging us to fix our eyes on Jesus as we run the race. Thank you to RF Fann for leading church preliminaries and to Glenn Parker for leading the Worship in Song.

Mother’s Day 2026 at Sharon Church was a special day to remember the mothers. R.F. Fann and Gentry Kamp blessed us with a beautiful song, “Scars in Heaven.” Then Pastor Chuck Gentry shared the written words of the legacy that his mother left to her children. The men presented the mothers with goody bags and a future prepared meal.
