You can do this recovery by yourself, or you can ask God for his help.

Step 3 in Celebrate Recovery says:
We made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1 NIV

Give God a chance to help you today and you may be surprised how faithful He is.

If an eagle was walking around eating free food in a chicken pen, can you imagine what the chickens may have to say? Some may be impressed and wish they were big like the eagle. Others would probably tear the eagle down to make themselves feel better.

We are eagles. We get to choose whether or not we listen to the chickens in our lives. If you let their negative opinions get to you, you may find yourself trying to be far less than how God made you.

Soar today you incredible eagles!!!
God made you MAGNIFICENT!!!
Don’t allow what others may think of you to shrink to less than how God made you!!!

We don’t need to strive to attain our faith.
That said, our recovery may require a bit of grit to keep it moving in the right direction.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:2, 4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Co-dependency is when a person’s need for approval or validation from another person allows them to be controlled or manipulated, or a person who attempts to manipulate or control someone. They are willing to compromise their own values, choices, and behavior at the expense of their personal well-being.

How We Find Recovery
Through a relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Higher Power, and by working through the 8 principles and the Christ-centered 12 steps, we can find freedom from our hurts, hang ups and habits.

Daily inventory this is the step that keeps us from having to start over!
It's the step that throws a way the keys to your personal prison!
It's the step that daily frees us from those hurts, habits, and hangups that hold us back!

See way back in step 4 we unpacked that bag of garbage we carried that we let define us. This step keeps us from picking that bag back up and carrying it again. Through the use of this step we face our obstacles daily in small chunks before they become big rocks that weigh us back down. We all can handle the pebbles life throws at us. It's when we let them become mountains we fall off track. Daily inventory is about handling those pebbles and turning them to the sand that runs through our fingers
Tonight you can learn how to turn your problems into sand. Tonight at Celebrate Recovery at First Baptist Church in Clinton, Missouri. It all starts with a free meal at 5:30 pm then the meeting at 6:30 with small groups to follow. Come out and listen and learn as Suzanne brings the lesson. See you there

**As always can't make it in person, then join us on Facebook Live at 6:30pm cst**
