***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***
JOY Group will be going to Aspire for lunch next week, Thursday, October 17th. This event was originally scheduled to be Carver's apple orchard. However, because of ongoing relief efforts in the area we will be moving the event closer to home.
If you already signed up for the Carver's event we put your name on the list for Aspire.
We are looking forward to a great day at a special place in Clinton.

One of our members Alice Hughes lost her daughter Bonnie Hughes Estes late Tuesday night.

Bonnie and husband Blake attended SBC for a few months this spring before he was called to Edgemoor Baptist as the worship pastor.

For those that didn't know... Bonnie was also my cousin. Our family is heartbroken and will miss her terribly! 💔

Please keep Blake, Aunt Alice, her brother Frankie and his wife Melissa in your prayers.

A celebration of life service will be held at

Yesterday we had a group of thirty-five, including a teenager, that went to Bush's Bean Museum!

As a group we had a choice of pot roast or pulled pork for lunch. Both meals included baked beans 🫘 of course, and potatoes! Tyler has learned his lesson and made sure we had dessert which was a delicious cherry cobbler.

After lunch we visited the museum and gift shop before heading home!

If anyone else took pictures and would like to share with the group... send them to Tyler or Effie to post.

We've had a couple to decide not to go on the October bus trip. If you are interested in going please let me know ASAP!

We also have one sweet lady that wants to go but needs a roommate. If we have a lady interested in being a roommate with her please let me know.

On June 1st we took a cruise on the Star of Knoxville Riverboat! We had a delicious lunch and enjoyed the fellowship and sights along the river... even in the rain!

Thursday, July 13th we have a trip to the Bush's Visitor Center and Museum in Dandridge planned.

Lunch will be your choice of pulled pork or pot roast at a cost of $20 each. Our group lunch is scheduled for 11:00 with a tour of the factory to follow. Be sure and get your picture made with Duke! 😎

Please meet at in the Riverside Room at 9:15 for a 9:30 departure.

I'm not sure what's going on with my posts... but I just noticed the one about our trip to the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant in April is missing! 😳🤦‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
