With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved pastor, leader,and friend, Reverend Dr. Willie T. Lawson, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Pastor Lawson served as the Pastor of Mount Paran Baptist Church for 37 years. He leaves behind a legacy of love for God, faithfulness towards his call to the gospel ministry and dedication in serving others.

We ask that you keep his wife: First Lady Mattie Lawson, his children: Anthony and Telia, his granddaughter: Alissa, his extended family and our church family in your prayers. Information regarding the celebration of his life will be shared once final arrangements have been made.
