Why Stone Soup?

The Christian metaphor means that, through radical sharing,collaboration, and community participation, small individual contributions combine to create abundance for all. Based on the folk tale, where a traveler makes soup out of stones it highlights that God‘s kingdom works when everyone shares their gifts to foster connection and sustain the whole community.

It emphasizes turning scarcity into plenty by sharing what little one has mirroring your early churches community actions.

The story illustrates that we are “better together”, emphasizing the value of each person‘s unique small contribution.

With that being said we will come together to assemble food boxes for our neighbors in Botkinburg, Dennard, and surrounding areas. We will provide monthly food box deliveries, as well as pick up at the church and also have food for emergency situations. As we continue to grow and seek the Lord, we will duplicate our efforts to provide food, fellowship, and most of all, faith to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus in our community. Please join us!
