Fresh Start at FBC Clinton

In case you missed Sunday, Dr. Violette shared that the plan for Fresh Start will be to combine with the BASIC class led by Lesley Swann. They will move over to the space that Fresh Start currently meets in. We had a good discussion and positive feedback regarding this move, so we will move forward with this. This is a positive merge!! Thanks for the support and let’s continue in our faithfulness and participation to LifeGroups!

The Anderson County, Community Resource Fair, is Sunday, August 20, 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Clinton, Family Life Center, Gym. Join us and learn more about what resources are available in AC. There will be Freebies, Free Food and Children’s Activities!

We will have ONE Worship Service this Sunday, August 20, at 10:40 a.m. in the Sanctuary. There will be no 8:30 service. LifeGroups meet at 9:30 a.m. We hope to see you Sunday!

Friends, a couple weeks ago I announced my resignation from the class as your teacher. I’m stepping down after 3 1/2 years to rest and recharge. Thank you for the sweet and encouraging words since then. I hope you’ll attend this Sunday, as Dr. Violette will address our class and give us an update on moving forward. Have a nice weekend and see you soon! We will finish the last lesson ( #13) of Grace and Truth. We will start at 9:30, then the combined worship service to follow. 😊 Lori

We will have our LifeGroup this Sunday July 9, led by Lori C.

Next Sunday the 16th we won’t meet but you will have the opportunity to visit another LifeGroup. Lori will be back after vacation week and we will resume July 23.

Join us this Sunday, July 9, for Worship Service at 8:30 a.m. or 10:40 a.m. Rev. Jason Taylor will preach from Mark 4:35-41. LifeGroups meet at 9:30 a.m.

This week has been jammed packed with activity for Matt and our family. I can’t believe he graduates from high school today. 4 years ago we were wrapping our minds around the move back to Tennessee wondering how Matt would adjust to Clinton. He has thrived here and made lots of friends and memories. We are thankful for all his educators through the years. Even though he went 8 years as a Hickory Hills Spartan, he wanted to walk with the seniors at South Clinton Elementary where I work. Thanks to my coworkers who sent videos and pictures to capture this senior tradition to go back to your elementary school to walk the halls.

Trunk or Treat at FBC on Sunday, October 30, from 5 - 7 p.m.! Call the church office to sign for a trunk! Candy Donations can be dropped off in the church office. There will be food, dancing, prizes, lots of candy, & music at this community event!
