Judy Phillips is our unofficial “artist-in-residence” at Clinton First United Methodist Church (we may need to make her official!). If you have ever been in our nursery, you have seen her incredible artwork on the walls. Judy’s artwork in the nursery goes back several years and continues to this day.

We recently asked Judy to work on a project for our new columbarium. She has spent the past few months creating paintings on boards that will be used to cover the open columbarium spaces until the niches arrive. We already have one unit of niches in place, and a second unit should arrive in the next two to three months.

The children’s-themed painting faces the nursery, so the children can look out the nursery window and see Judy’s artwork. The handprints on the board are those of our children and youth.

We are grateful to Judy for sharing her gifts, and we are also grateful to Ron Edwards and Ken Blair for installing the boards.
