Dear New Anthem friends and family,
We have a very important announcement. New Anthem Church launched over 6 years ago, and we have so much to celebrate. God has done so much! We’ve seen many salvations, baptisms, families coming together to worship the name of Jesus, communities created, and lives changed.
Unfortunately, over the last 2 years, we have been steadily losing money and we can no longer sustain ourselves as a church. Through much prayer and discussion, we have come to the difficult decision that we are no longer able to continue meeting as a congregation.
However, we are incredibly excited to announce that we have been adopted by Motor City Church in Downtown Detroit. New Anthem was an integral part of helping Motor City launch 5 years ago, and God has done and is continuing to do such amazing things there.
We will continue to meet at New Anthem Church for 2 more Sundays, October 19 & 26. They will be family style services at 10am. On November 2, we will celebrate joining with Motor City. They have 3 services (8:30am, 10:00am, and 11:30am) and are located at 150 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI 48226. Secure, validated parking is available in the Financial District Garage: 131 W Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, MI 48226. They take safety seriously and have a security team; a secure, safe, and fun kids’ ministry; and soon will be launching a youth ministry. You can get more info about Motor City here: https://www.motorcitychurch.com.
Though we are sad about this chapter of New Anthem ending, we are grateful and blessed to become a part of the Motor City Church family. We believe that a church alive is worth the drive, and Motor City is certainly alive! If you’re a part of the New Anthem Church family or even if you’ve ended up on this email list and have been looking for a church home, all we ask is that you would consider giving Motor City a try.
We love you, and are so thankful that you have been a part of New Anthem’s journey. We hope to see you the next two weeks as we close this chapter together, and at Motor City on November 2.
Love and blessings,
Pastor John & Ceci & the New Anthem Church staff and board
