Hey friends—if things have been feeling a little tight lately, or you could use some extra support, this Saturday, June 13th our drive-thru food pantry will be open from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, and we’re here for you.

You’ll stay in your vehicle, and our volunteers will guide you through with care and kindness every step of the way.

If you can’t make it yourself, you’re welcome to send someone on your behalf—just ask them to bring some basic household information so we can serve you well. Everything is kept confidential.

No barriers. No judgment.
Just neighbors helping neighbors.

‼️The distribution scheduled for Wednesday (6/10) at Lasky Recreation Center is canceled.

Gleaners is hosting drive-up food distributions this week, which are free and open to the public. Anyone in need of food is encouraged to attend and will receive over 35 pounds of nutritious groceries, like milk, fresh fruit, vegetables, lean protein, and other shelf-stable items while supplies last.

☀️ Happy Monday, dear friends! ❤️

As we begin a new week, we’d like to offer a few reminders:

🌻 If you have your entire week planned out, organized, color-coded, and under control… we celebrate you.

🌻 If you’re reading this while wondering what day it is and whether you forgot something important… we celebrate you too.

🌻 If your coffee is still hot, consider it a blessing.

🌻 If your coffee has already gone cold because life happened, that’s probably a blessing too.

The truth is, life is a little funny sometimes.

One day we’re convinced we have everything figured out. The next day we’re standing in the kitchen wondering why we walked in there. 🤔☕

One day we’re feeling strong and confident. The next day we’re searching for our glasses while they’re sitting on top of our heads. 👓😂

And somehow, through all of it, God keeps showing up.

Sometimes in the big moments.

Sometimes in a kind word from a friend.

Sometimes in a stranger’s smile.

And sometimes in the fact that we found the thing we spent twenty minutes looking for. 🙌

Whatever this week brings, we hope you find reasons to laugh, opportunities to be kind, and reminders that you don’t have to navigate life alone.

And if this week doesn’t go exactly according to plan? Well… God’s people have been adapting to unexpected plot twists for thousands of years. 😄

As we prepare for a new week, we’d love to invite you to join us tomorrow at Hope United Church of Christ.

Come hear the Good News.

Come share in Holy Communion.

Come gather around the table for the sacred gift of bread and cup.

Come be part of honest conversations, heartfelt prayers, joyful music, and a community that is learning and growing together.

☀️ Happy Wednesday, dear friends!

We’re halfway through the week, and we just wanted to check in.

We hope this week has brought you moments of joy, kindness, laughter, and maybe even a few surprises along the way. And if this week has felt a little heavy, a little busy, or a little overwhelming, we hope you know you’re not alone.

As the summer sunshine settles in, we’re reminded that God is still speaking and still at work in our lives. Sometimes in big, obvious ways. Sometimes in the quiet moments we almost miss. 🌻

If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to connect, give back, or meet some wonderful people, we invite you to consider volunteering with our food pantry. Summer can be one of our most challenging seasons for volunteer support, and there are so many ways to help.

You might enjoy greeting guests on distribution day, helping organize behind the scenes, assisting with setup, or working alongside a team of caring people who simply want to make a difference in our community. 🤝

One of the beautiful things about volunteering is that while you’re helping others, something often happens within you as well. New friendships are formed, purpose is renewed, and hearts are strengthened.

Whether you’re looking to serve on your own, with friends, or as part of a group, we’d love to talk with you about how you can be involved. No grand commitment required—just a willing heart. ❤️

And just like that, a brand-new month is here.

Now, if you’re anything like us, maybe there are still a few spring projects unfinished, plans still unfolding, or things you thought you’d have figured out by now. 😊

That’s okay.

Life doesn’t always move according to our calendars.

Sometimes the best moments arrive as unexpected blessings, surprising opportunities, or what we like to call glorious interruptions—those moments that remind us what really matters.

As we step into June, we hope you’ll make room for all of it:

☕ the quiet moments
💛 the acts of kindness
🎉 the celebrations

We are part of the United Church of Christ — a denomination that believes God’s love is wide, welcoming, inclusive, and still speaking. And here in our little corner of Clinton Township, we try our best to live that out every single day.

Sometimes it looks like food pantry mornings, mission work, community care, and people quietly serving behind the scenes. 🥫🤝

There are so many ways to be part of this community — whether that means sitting quietly in a pew, singing in the choir, helping hands-on with outreach ministries, joining a committee, serving others, or simply showing up and being present.

Because at the heart of it all, we believe in practicing love.

Not just on Sunday mornings, but out in the middle of real life too — the busy days, the joyful days, the ordinary days, the difficult days, and all the moments in between.

Some of us feel strong.

Some of us are figuring things out one day at a time.
