☀️ Happy Monday, friends—and hello, September! 🍂

As we say goodbye to August, we’re grateful for every moment, every lesson, every laugh, every challenge, and every opportunity to grow. And we’re especially grateful that you are part of our Hope UCC family, friends, and community—near and far. ❤️

Now comes September, bringing a little change of season and plenty of new opportunities to show up, jump in, try something new, or simply find where you fit.

There’s our church picnic, the food pantry, choir and handbell rehearsals, outreach, fellowship, and so many ways to share your time, talents, or simply your presence.

Come as you are. Try something new. Find your people. Make some moments.

Because when all is said and done, it’s the moments that matter.

🌿 Friday is here, dear friends… and somehow, August is almost behind us.

Whether your month went up, down, sideways, backward, or somewhere in between, we hope you found a little peace, a little joy, and a few moments worth holding onto.

And before August comes to a close, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this month what it was. ❤️

From worship and music to the food pantry, paperwork, loading boxes, outreach, mission work, volunteering, and all the things happening quietly behind the scenes—you showed up, shared your gifts, and helped turn ordinary moments into something extraordinary.

That’s community. That’s love in action.

Now, as we head into the final weekend of August, let’s take a moment to quiet our hearts, breathe deeply, and gather together.

A new week is here—and maybe it’s time to remind ourselves of something simple:

Gratitude turns what we have into enough.
Discipline turns enough into more.
And faith reminds us that we never walk alone.

So whatever this week brings—good, bad, unexpected, beautiful, frustrating, or somewhere in between—you’ve got this.

Take what you have. Give thanks for it. Work with it. Grow it. Share it.

And put a little faith on top of it all. ❤️

Because you’re walking into this week in good company.

You are loved. You are welcomed. And there is still good ahead.

Saturday thought:

We spend a surprising amount of our lives trying to keep everything from falling apart.

Our plans.
Our schedules.
Our relationships.
Our patience.
Our grocery lists. 😂

And then, every once in a while, life reminds us that we were never actually in charge of holding everything together.

Maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

Tomorrow, we’re going to hear a story about a rock, a foundation, and a question that reaches far beyond what we can see on the surface.

Because faith isn’t always about feeling certain. Sometimes it’s about discovering what is solid when everything else feels a little unsteady.

And maybe—just maybe—the thing you thought was shaking you is actually inviting you to look at what you’re standing on.

That’s something worth thinking about.

So tomorrow, come listen with us. Come curious. Come hopeful. Come questioning. Come carrying whatever this week handed you.

We’ll bring the Good News.

And maybe you’ll leave carrying something a little different than what you brought in.
