Each year, on the third Sunday of May, a Solemn High Mass is held at Holy Face Monastery in Clifton, New Jersey. The liturgy features Gregorian chant and is offered in honor of Our Lady of Sacro Monte of Novi Velia in Salerno. After the Mass, a large procession takes place throughout the monastery grounds. The statue of Our Lady is carried beneath a canopy during the procession. Authentic cinte, traditional Italian candle-houses, and music from an Italian Feast Band accompany the event.

Blessed Carlo Acutis, of Cilentano origin, will soon be declared a Saint!

His mother, Antonia, is originally from Centola-Palinuro. Carlo often went to Centola during the summer, and visited the nearby Eucharistic Shrine of San Mauro La Bruca.
