Pray for the repose of the soul of The Reverend William J. Cosgrove. Fr. Cosgrove was the greatly loved pastor of St. Dominic Church for 17 years, retiring from there in 2000.

He was ordained on December 17, 1955 at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, and died at the SSJ Motherhouse, February 28, 2026.

Funeral arrangements for Father William Cosgrove are:
Parish of the Holy Family, St. Jude Church, 4100 Lyell Rd, Gates, NY

Tuesday, March 3, 2026:
Visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m., followed by Evening Prayer at 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday, March 4, 2026:
Visitation 9:45-10:45 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., Bishop Salvatore R. Matano, presiding

Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of Bishop Salvatore R. Matano and appointed The Most Reverend John S. Bonnici as the next Bishop of Rochester.
