First COGIC Clifton Forge, VA Pastor Leon Taylor proudly serves as Pastor. FIRST COGIC was founded in 1933; and is a part of COGIC VA #2 We worship Sundays @ Noon. We pray Tuesdays @ Noon.

Pastor Leon Taylor has pastored First COGIC for 35 years. The church has made an impact in the community through its worship services, outreach and familial atmosphere. All are welcome to join us in experiencing the love of Christ and the power of his resurrection! On Thursday, we have Family worship and Bible Study @ 7:00 PM! Looking forward to seeing you soon.

An African proverb shares this wisdom, you can run faster alone, but you can run much further together. Calls and testimonies are still coming in from Pentecost Sunday 2026. Apparently, we needed to gather. The power of God was evident from the planning; to the Zoom prayer; to the fervent worship on Pentecost Sunday. This ministry team along with the Greater South West District COGIC and other ecumenical pastors from Southwest Virginia will join in a great fellowship expecting to experience God’s power!
