What if in one moment, your prayer could be 66 times as powerful? That can happen if everyone on the list prays together tonight at 7 PM!

Wednesday Night 7:00 PM Community Prayer

Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on us in this moment, so that we may feel your presence. Fill our hearts with Your love. Illuminate our minds with your light. Mold us and make us useful servants for You. Reveal to us at this moment, opportunities for showing your love and your light in our communities along Route 50 in Western Ohio. Guide us and energize us into action so that we may turn possibilities into ministries of hopeful service. Through the power of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit we pray. Amen

Message: Genesis, The Stories that built our Faith – "Dreams do come true"

Preface: After reaching the bottom again, Joseph's dreams literally come true and he is raised to become the second most powerful man in all of Egypt. However, his success wasn't "his dream come true." The "dream come true" was the fulfillment of God's promises. As we have learned before, there are only two kinds of promises from God: promises kept and promises to be fulfilled.

Message: Genesis, The Stories that built our Faith – "Even when no one is looking"

Preface: After being sold into slavery, Joseph lands in the house of a prominent politician. His success as a manager gains Potiphar’s trust and favor. His physique gains the attention of Potiphar’s wife. When the house is empty and no one is looking, Joseph has a chance to gain more favor.

Message: Genesis, The Stories that built our Faith – "From really messed up people"

Preface: Our Savior, Jesus Christ, came from a line of really messed up people. In his lineage are foreigners, liars, cheats, adulterers, a pr******te, and even a murderer. God shows us that no matter our history, what really matters is what God is doing through us now.

Praying is biblical!
Colossians 4 - 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

Join us at 7 pm every Wednesday!

Message: Genesis, The Stories that built our Faith – "The Great Set-up"

Preface: Another generation and another story of favoritism, envy, deceit, and dreams. Despite the failures and mistakes, God has a plan. God turns what was meant for evil as the set-up for greater things and a little bit of foreshadowing of the greatest event.

Pastor Scott receiving the Reber Award at the Heirs of Pietism Conference.

REBER AWARD

The Center for Evangelical United Brethren Heritage offers an annual award to a student or scholar who submits the best paper focused on some aspect of Evangelical United Brethren (EUB) heritage. The EUB heritage includes the history, theology, and practices of its predecessor bodies, the Evangelical Association, the Evangelical Church, and the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, as well as the wider Pietist heritage from which these bodies derive. If a submission focuses upon the latter, it must connect explicitly to the EUB heritage.
