St. Peter Church- Cleveland

St. Peter Church- Cleveland Franciscan. Catholic. Welcoming. St. Peter Church was founded more than 150 years ago to serve German immigrants in Cleveland. Today, the effort continues.

The parish underwent a significant revitalization throughout the 1990s, continuing until the parish was closed in April 2010. Following a successful appeal to the Vatican, the parish officially reopened in September 2012. Committed parishioners worked together with the pastor, Fr. Kropac, to reopen and revitalize the parish, and to grow its membership and ability to minister in the downtown neighb

orhood. The historic parish is lucky to be under the gifted Capuchin Franciscan friar,
leader and homilist, Brother Phil Bernier. The parish is blessed with an extraordinary building for worship and weddings that is shared with the Cleveland State University St. John Newman Campus Ministry and for community events. The parish serves as the Young Adult hub for the diocese. Come worship with us, young and old!
