For the next three days, we’re setting aside time to seek God together.

October 12–14, we’re inviting our entire Bridge City family into corporate prayer and fasting—fasting from food from sunup to sundown and gathering each evening from 7–8 PM for prayer.
We don’t pray because we have no plans. We pray because our plans, resources, wisdom, and strength are never enough apart from God.

Like Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah, our posture is simple:
“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” — 2 Chronicles 20:12
For our church. For our mission. For what God is building in and through us. Our eyes are on Him

We can’t end the day without wishing our very own Pastor Keon a Happy Pastor Appreciation!

We thank God for your faithful leadership, your heart for His people, and the ways you continually point us back to Jesus. Your commitment to shepherding our church family and partnering in the restoring grace of Jesus Christ is a gift to our community.

We love you, Pastor Keon, and pray that the Lord continues to strengthen, encourage, and sustain you in all He has called you to do.

BCC family, help us show Pastor Keon some love in the comments!

A few Sundays ago, we shared in the joy of ordaining Heather Bowers and Teresa Brown-Scales to the office of Ruling Elder.

For the next three years, they will serve on our governing board called the Session. These elders are entrusted with the spiritual oversight and governance of Bridge City Church.

In our tradition, Teaching Elders are pastors called especially to the ministry of the Word and Sacraments, while Ruling Elders are members of the congregation elected to share in the shepherding, discernment, and leadership of the church.

Together, they serve under the authority of Jesus Christ, the true Head of the Church.

“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care…” — 1 Peter 5:2

Sunday was a monument to the faithfulness of God.

We worshiped, we wept, we celebrated, and we remembered the grace that has carried Bridge City for five years. We gave thanks for Patrick and Jeanette, whose faithful service as Ruling Elders helped shape this church from its earliest days and establish us in faithful order. We celebrated the leaders God is raising up for what comes next.

Five years ago, BCC was a prayer. Today, we are a church built on the Rock- Jesus Christ, our Cornerstone. This anniversary wasn’t simply about where we’ve been. It marked our commitment to the next two decades of ministry and mission in the city where God has given us a vision.

If you were in the room Sunday, you know: God met us there.

Here we raise our Ebenezer.

“Thus far the LORD has helped us.” — 1 Samuel 7:12

Five years ago, God gathered a people and planted Bridge City Church in the heart of Clark-Fulton.

Since then, grace has met us here, forming us through worship, binding us together in fellowship, equipping us for the work of ministry, and sending us to partner in the restoration of our neighbors and our city.

This Sunday, we will mark five years by doing what has sustained us from the beginning: gathering as one church around the Word and the Table, remembering the faithfulness of God, and renewing our hope in the work still before us.

At 11 AM we’re all meeting together for the celebration.

There will be no 9 AM service.

Five years of restoring grace and God is not finished with us yet.

Last Sunday, we celebrated Pentecost and witnessed a beautiful wedding during our gathering. 🕊️

As we reflected on the gift of the Holy Spirit and celebrated a new covenant before God, we were reminded that the same Spirit who formed the Church is still at work today, bringing people together, renewing hearts, and writing stories of grace.

We’re grateful for all that God is doing in and through our church family!

Pentecost Sunday is here.

The birth of the Church.
The promise of the Holy Spirit.

who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.”

Come, Holy Spirit!
