North America says thank you to Bishop and Sister Pratt!
We are grateful for their years of service and dedication to North America Church of God of Prophecy.
Dr. Wallace Pratt resides in Salem, Oregon, with his wife Judy of 55 years on August 21, 2026. They have two daughters, five grandchildren, and two great grandsons. He was licensed as a minister in the COGOP in June of 1970. He was ordained as a bishop in June 1978 and served as a District Bishop for 25 years. He pastored for 33 years in Wyoming, California, Louisiana, Iowa, Colorado, and Arizona. He was appointed as the regional bishop for IOU and began serving on August 1, 2004.
He graduated from Tomlinson College with an Associate of Arts Degree, received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Theology, both from Colorado Christian University. He graduated from Trinity Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Theology, then completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious and Cultural Studies. He earned a second Masters of Arts Degree in Religion from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, then received his Doctor of Ministry with a concentration on Global Pentecostalism.
Dr. Pratt served on the Assembly Committee for Biblical Doctrine and Polity for 18 years and served as the Chairman for the last 6 years of that tenure. Because of his certification and licensing, he began researching the subjects of sexuality, marriage, divorce, and remarriage, including pre-marriage counseling. Bishop Pratt has counseled over 220 couples during the scope of his ministry.
Dr. Pratt’s pastoral experience, education and passionate training has taken him into 50 nations on 5 continents. He has been an adjunct professor for Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and the Spirit and Life Seminary. He is passionate about planting churches (51) and loves training young ministers. In 1998, he planted the first indigenous congregations for the COCOP in Hungary and in 2016 on the Navajo Nation. Bishop Pratt’s greatest devotion is to his Heavenly Father who has taught him to love all people regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, culture, language, or background.
