As we are committed to sharing The Burning Bush Experience. Overseer Betty J. Williams! History
After spending a little more than a year of services our Pastors’ home, the church was blessed to purchase a separate worship facility
We discovered the building in the fall of 1999. It took several trips to the auditor’s office to track down the owners of the church. After what seemed like
and eternity, the purchase was completed and we began restoration to the edifice
Our first service took place on July 2nd, 2000, commemorating our Second Church Anniversary. Since that time we have may many accomplishments toward the Kingdom of G-D
Today however, The Burning Bush has a whole new face; as we despite hard times are refusing to give up. Once again, “The L-RD has renewed our strength, and given us a new opportunity in life. We have launched Operation Five Thousand Fishes, and set our sailed abroad. In the past, The Great Supper Banquet (Lk 14:17-23), was the initial phase to this undertaking. Since that time, The Burning Bush has successfully accomplished along with its subsidiary agent; Project Eat Em Up. It first initiative in 1994 was of little success. Since that time this struggling program has become a keepsake for this administration. However, this sole undertaking (being a one day; annual program), was never intended to be and ends to a means; even with its prevailing success. Therefore, we have determined to execute, The Five Thousand Fishes program (Jn 6:3-14), which will thrust a more enduring impact to the state of homelessness. Operation Five Thousand Fishes is a multi-faceted initiative designed for the purpose of aiding the homeless criteria through out the Greater Cleveland Area; by prayerfully reshaping their broken down places; advocating healthy lifestyles, and refocusing the distorted areas of their lives. We believe this can be done by motivating them to reassess their G-D given worth, and repositioning that worthiness into fulfilling G-D’S plan for their lives (Jer. 29:11),
To date, we have purchased two housing units, with which to launch this project. The buildings, located on the Western Side of Cleveland consist of 3 apartments; each having three separate bedrooms, a kitchen and dining area. Initially the buildings will house our members, for the purpose of repair. Overtime they will be relocated to alternate housing. We are wishing to begin with in the next two years. Our goal is to repeat these actions as quickly and cost effectively as possible. And while The Burning Bush remains a traditional church of sorts, we are ye a multi-faceted entity seeking G-DS divine destiny in our lives. To G-D be the Glory!
