A Beautiful Opportunity for Our Children to Serve and Grow in Faith 🙏💝✝️

We were delighted to hold the first session of our Altar Servers and Liturgical Music Training Program this past Sunday. The children had the opportunity to try on the beautiful new shabigs (robes) recently received from Armenia and began learning the fundamentals of serving and participating in the worship life of our Church.😍✝️

During the session, the children reviewed basic church etiquette, including how to enter the sanctuary reverently⛪️, make the sign of the cross🤌✝️, and conduct themselves during worship. They also learned their first hymn, Soorp Asdvadz (Holy God), taking their first steps toward becoming active participants in the Divine Liturgy.

It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and excitement of our young people as they learned together and deepened their connection to our faith and traditions.

We warmly invite all children ages 7–13 to join us every Sunday following fellowship for these brief and engaging training sessions led by Der Hayr, Maral and Dn. Ari. Whether your child is interested in serving on the altar, learning the hymns of the Badarak, or simply growing in their understanding of the Armenian Church, all are welcome.

We look forward to welcoming many more young servants and singers in the weeks ahead!

Women's Guild News

The Women's Guild held its monthly meeting on Saturday, May 30, discussing a variety of ongoing ministries and upcoming activities, including membership outreach, fellowship events, community service opportunities, Bible studies, wellness programs, and preparations for future parish events. Members also enjoyed a plant swap following the meeting and continued planning for several outreach initiatives, including support for Laura's Home, the Cleveland Food Bank, and the upcoming Race for the Place.

The Women's Guild's first Book Club also met on Sunday following fellowship hour. Participants enjoyed a lively and engaging discussion of Remarkably Bright Creatures, exploring its memorable characters, compelling story, and the many spiritual themes woven throughout the novel. Conversations touched on hope, living with and working through grief, acceptance, unconditional love and kindness, and the humility required when facing life's unresolved mysteries.

The Book Club will continue meeting on the last Sunday of each month, alternating between fiction and non-fiction selections. The next book, to be discussed on June 28, will be Garbology by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edward Humes. The July 26 selection will be Theo of Golden by Allen Levi.

All are welcome to participate, and no advance sign-up is necessary.

A Beautiful Opportunity for Our Children to Serve and Grow in Faith

We are excited to share wonderful news with all our parents and families—we recently received beautiful new robes from Armenia for our young ones, and we look forward to seeing more children become actively involved in the worship life of our Church.

Beginning Sunday, June 7th we invite children ages 7–13 to join us for short 20-minute training sessions immediately following Badarak to help them grow in faith and deepen their connection to the Divine Liturgy.

Through these sessions:

Young boys will have the opportunity to begin learning how to serve on the altar as altar servers.
All children will be invited to learn and sing the beautiful hymns and responses of the Badarak.

The sessions will be led by Der Hayr and Dn. Ari and are designed to be welcoming, engaging, and accessible for both beginners and returning participants.

We warmly encourage all parents to consider this opportunity and invite their children to take part. These small moments of service and learning often become lifelong memories and can plant seeds of faith that remain for years to come.

We look forward to welcoming our young servants and singers this Sunday following Badarak!
