Day 3: Stewardship -- Beyond Possession
Reading: Matthew 25:14-29 -- the parable of the talents, in which servants are entrusted with resources and held accountable for how they managed, maintained, and multiplied them
Devotional: God does not give you things simply so you can have them. He gives you things so you can steward them. There is a profound difference between possessing something and managing it well. The servant who buried his talent was not a thief -- he was passive. Passivity in the things of God is treated as unfaithfulness. Whatever God has placed in your hands -- a gift, a relationship, a calling, a season of health -- requires your active participation. Maintaining it, managing it wisely, and watching it multiply is the work of a faithful steward.
Reflection: What has God entrusted to you that you have been merely possessing rather than actively developing?
Practical Application: Choose one area -- a gift, a relationship, or a resource -- and take one concrete step today toward better stewardship of it.
