You may qualify to vote absentee in person if you are:

• Required to work or be on call while polls are open
• A student, teacher, or school administrator whose studies or work require you to be away from your voting residence
• Age 65 or older
• Living with a temporary or permanent disability that makes voting in person a substantial hardship or danger
• Caring for a parent, spouse, or dependent with a qualifying disability who is hospitalized outside the county or more than 50 miles from home
• A qualifying congressional employee, member of Congress, or qualifying spouse or dependent
If one of these applies to you, do not wait. Go to your county Circuit Clerk’s Office beginning Sept. 21, bring an acceptable photo ID, and ask to vote absentee.
