This morning at 11am, the bishops of the United States (including Bishop Ed Malesic and Bishop Woost) will consecrate the country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of the 250th anniversay of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes around the country are encouraged to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart.

The event will be livestreamed on the USCCB YouTube channel on June 11, 2026 at 4 p.m. ET from the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando, Florida as a part of the bishops’ spring plenary assembly.
