Our Lady of Lourdes Church

Our Lady of Lourdes Church Founded in 1883, Our Lady of Lourdes is a proud and beautiful Catholic church located in Cleveland, Weekend liturgies are celebrated in English and in Spanish.

We are a multi-cultural Roman Catholic parish of the Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio. We collaborate with sister Catholic parishes and faith communities of other denominations in the “Slavic Village” neighborhood. We network extensively with the Diocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry and the other parishes in the Diocese with a Hispanic ministry focus. With the assistance of parishes in the suburbs, we a

re able to reach out and respond to some of the tremendous needs and challenges of our neighborhood. Members of our parish trace their ancestors to or come from countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin American and the Caribbean. For major feasts, we come together for bilingual worship. Our community witnesses to the fact that in diversity, we find unity. Small in number as well as economic resources, we are rich in faith and strong in commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our presence and stability provide a beacon of hope in an extremely challenged part of the city of Cleveland. Somos una comunidad multicultural que pertenece a la Diócesis de Cleveland, Ohio. Colaboramos con las parroquias Católicas vecinas y al mismo tiempo, iglesias de otras denominaciones ubicadas en “Slavic Village”. También, trabajamos estrechamente con la Oficina del Ministerio Hispano de la Diócesis y las otras parroquias que atienden a poblaciones hispanas. Con la ayuda de algunas parroquias en los suburbios, luchamos a responder a algunas de las necesidades del vecindario. Miembros de la parroquia son descendientes o proceden de países europeos, africanos, asiáticos, latinoamericanos y caribenos. Celebramos la Santa Misa en ingles y en español. Para fiestas mayores, nos unimos para misas bilingües. Pequeño en números y en recursos económicos, somos ricos en la fe y el compromiso al evangelio y a Jesucristo. Nuestra presencia en la ciudad proclama esperanza en una zona marcada por grandes desafíos.

PSR/CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION: Register your children and youth for the Parish School of Religion (PSR), First Communion, First Communion, continuing classes after First Communion and Confirmation classes after the Sunday Masses at the table near the statue of
St. Procop. PSR classes begin with a parent meeting at 10:00 a.m. in church on Saturday, September 12. The children’s classes begin on Saturday, September 26 from 10:00–11:30 a.m. in the parish house.

CLASES DE LA DOCTRINA Y CONFIRMACIÓN: Regístrense a los niños y a los jóvenes para las Clases de la Doctrina, Primera Comunión, Clases de Seguimiento después de Primera Comunión, y Confirmación después de las misas dominicales a la mesa cerca de la estatua de San Procopio. Las clases de la doctrina comienzan con una reunión de padres a las 10:00 a.m. en el templo el sábado, 12 de septiembre. Las clases con los niños van a comenzar el sábado, 26 de septiembre de 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.


SHARE YOUR FAITH! Invite your family members or friends who were not able to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and/or Confirmation to register for the OCIA or Adult Sacramental Preparation. Classes will be held on Sundays beginning in October. Stop by the table by the St. Procop statue to complete a registration form after the Sunday Masses or in the parish office.

¡COMPARTEN SU FE! Invitan a sus parientes o amigos(as) quienes no han recibido los Sacramentos del Bautismo, Primera Comunión y/o Confirmación como niños para registrarse para el OICA o Preparación Sacramental de Adultos. Las clases van a ser los domingos comenzando en octubre. Visitan la mesa ubicada por la estatua de San Procopio para
completar una hoja de inscripción después de las misas dominicales o en la oficina parroquial.

LA ESPIRITUALIDAD DEL IMMIGRANTE: FE Y CULTURA 2026
Monseñor Evilio Menjívar-Ayala, originario de Chalatenango, El Salvador, vino a los EE. UU. cuando era joven e indocumentado. Trabajaba en trabajos humildes, estudió, entró en el seminario aquí, fue ordenado sacerdote en el año 2000, obispo auxiliar de Washington, D.C. en 2023, y obispo diocesano en Wheeling, West Virginia en mayo de 2026.
Basado en su experiencia propia, en la sagrada escritura, y en las enseñanzas de la Iglesia Católica, Monseñor Evelio va a desarrollar el tema LA ESPIRITUALIDAD DEL IMMIGRANTE en nuestra celebración de FE Y CULTURA el día SABADO 19 de septiembre, en la parroquia “San Bernardo”, Akron. ¡NO HAY QUE FALTAR!
La diócesis nos ofrece transporte en autobús GRATIS. Necesitamos la lista de personas que quieren aprovechar del transporte cuanto antes. En el evento, habrá comida GRATIS también. Favor contactarse con Rigoberto Rodríguez o mi persona si desea anotarse para el transporte.
