Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The dedication of the Cleveland Ohio Temple is only one week away!
We love you and are grateful for the many ways you are preparing to draw closer to the Lord. Some are preparing to attend the temple for the first time. Some are taking steps to return after being away for a time. Others are setting new goals to worship more regularly in the temple now that we have one so near. Wherever you are in your preparation, please know that your sincere efforts matter and that the Lord rejoices in every step you take toward Him.
Thank you for continuing to join with us as we fast and pray as a stake to express gratitude for this remarkable blessing and asking the Lord to help all of us draw nearer to the Savior through continued worship in His house.
For those who will be attending the dedication at the stake center, please carefully review the following information and prepare accordingly:
During the dedication, the stake center will serve as an extension of the temple, and temple procedures will apply.
Each person entering will need to present a current temple recommend. This may be a temple recommend for all ordinances, a recommend for proxy baptisms and confirmations, or a special temple recommend for a baptized Primary-age member of the Church.
Because the stake center will serve as an extension of the temple, infants and toddlers will not be able to attend the dedication. We ask families with young children to make arrangements that will allow eligible family members to attend one of the two sessions listed below.
Please enter through the front doors of the stake center, where recommends will be checked. This will be the only entrance in use. We ask that even those who have keys not enter through another door.
For the first session, please arrive, park, have your recommend checked, and be quietly seated well before 8:30 a.m, in anticipation of the 9am start time. For the second, rebroadcast session, please be seated well before 1:30 p.m, and the session will begin at 2pm.
The doors will close 15 minutes before each session begins so that the ushers and those checking recommends may participate fully in the dedication. After the doors close prior to the first session, there will not be another opportunity to enter until the doors reopen for the second session.
Please bring a plain white handkerchief to use during the dedicatory ceremony.
Thank you, Brothers and Sisters, for helping make this a beautiful and reverent experience. Whether you will participate in the dedication at the stake center or are continuing to prepare for future temple worship, we are grateful for you and for the faith you are showing.
The dedication of the Cleveland Ohio Temple is a blessing for our members and friends throughout the area, and we look forward with gratitude to all the good that will come as people draw nearer to the Savior through the work done in His holy house.
With love,
